There is a difference between an immigrant and an illegal immigrant. One breaks the immigration law and sneaks in. One stands in line like the non-native ancestors in my family did. I think broadly wrapping it together as "anti-immigration" is misleading to people who are already willing to jump on the reactionist wave of anything subversive and anti-establishmentary in nature.
